Anne-Marie Curtis, fashion veteran and one of the industry’s leading creative forces, has almost three decades of multi-faceted experience and expertise, encompassing a wide range of roles and skills including that of the highly influential editor-in-chief of British ELLE, as well as fashion director, stylist, brand consultant, writer and commentator and founder of sustainably glossy The Calendar Magazine.

AMC is one of the UK’s most respected creative and commercial leaders in fashion media. As Editor-in-Chief of ELLE UK, she transformed the brand into the country’s definitive fashion authority for luxury millennials, commissioning groundbreaking covers, revitalising the magazine’s identity and driving an exceptional 7.5% circulation increase—the highest in the glossy market at the time.

Her tenure as Editor-In Chief ELLE produced some of the brand’s most iconic and innovative moments, including a celebration of black British Talent featuring a  Stormzy cover as well as global exclusives with Michelle Obama and Rihanna. She also launched ELLE’s first sustainability-focused September issue, a milestone that later inspired her to found The Calendar Magazine (2021), a platform dedicated to the considered consumer She expanded the ELLE portfolio with the ELLE List, celebrating established and emerging talent and ELLE Weekender, a major consumer and industry event featuring speakers including Diane von Furstenberg, Rosamund Pike and Eva Chen. 

During her 12 year tenure as Fashion Director at ELLE UK her editorial work became the most syndicated content in ELLE’s international network and included covers with a host of A-list talent including Dua Lipa, Rihanna, Michelle Williams, Kirsten Stewart and Emma Watson. 

Before joining ELLE, AMC was a founding team member and Fashion Director at  Wallpaper* magazine, helping shape the magazine’s  highly influential aesthetic well as grow it’s global success from its launch in 1996.

A recognised commentator, AMC frequently appears on panels, radio and television in the UK and US. She was nominated for BSME Editor of the Year (2018) and named one of the Evening Standard’s Progress 1000 most influential Londoners. 

 AMC has  built an extensive global network of leading creatives, designers, journalists and industry figures during her time in the industry, forging long-term partnerships with major luxury brands. Her consultancy clients include Van Cleef & Arpels, Bucherer, Nike, Uniqlo, James Purdey & Sons, Elizabeth Arden, L’Oréal, Banana Republic, The Gap, Burberry, Aquascutum and Pandora.
